Serving, Empowering, and Representing International Students Across Australia
Australia’s independent national voice for international students
The International Students Representative Council of Australia (ISRC) is the independent national body representing international students across all education sectors.
Established in 2025, the ISRC is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation formed through collaboration among democratically elected student representative bodies from every state and territory.
As the national voice for international students, the ISRC engages with governments, education regulators, and community partners to advance fair, inclusive, and student-centred policies.
Our work is grounded in evidence and lived experience, focusing on research, policy advocacy, and public engagement to improve education quality, wellbeing, and participation.
We are also committed to supporting and empowering international student leaders and representatives nationwide, strengthening their capacity to participate effectively in governance, advocacy, and community leadership.
The ISRC is governed by an elected National Council, which sets strategic priorities and appoints an Executive Committee to implement its decisions and coordinate national initiatives. The national office is headquartered in Sydney.
